Put three or four tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a saucepan and fry the grated carrot and onion and the garlic cloves cut in half. In a small bowl, whisk Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and onion powder. Remove the meat to a plate, reduce the heat to medium-high, and add the onions, celery, garlic, and tomato paste.
