How to Cook Yummy Pan Roasted Asparagus
Pan Roasted Asparagus. It's similar to an approach we've used with broccoli, in which oil and water are added to the pan at once. Heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet.
The secret here is for the oven to be very hot so the asparagus can begin to brown on the outside without overcooking and getting too flimsy. Place the asparagus in the dish, and toss with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Use a pan large enough that the asparagus is in one or two layers.
While the potatoes roast, add the asparagus pieces to the same bowl and toss with the remaining oil, vinegar, garlic powder, salt and pepper to coat.
Remove the wooden ends of the asparagus spears.
Roast the asparagus for about ten minutes. On sheet pan add asparagus, salt, olive oil and garlic. All made on one pan to boot!
